It'll only appeal I suspect to men of a narrow age bracket that loved the movie when we were little kids, but overall I really enjoyed it. It's a bit cheesy and that acting isn't brilliant, but it has quite a depth to the characters, and takes a different story arc to the movie. It's only available on YouTube Red (which is the pay service of YouTube) but you get a free month's trial membership so you can watch it for free.
Cheers stache, I will check it out. I love seeing an old story given a new setting, like Richard III set in Nazi England or a different characters take on the action like Rosencratz and Guildenstein Are Dead.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I watched the first few eps but was disappointed when she returned to the house. All the momentum seemed to leak out at that point. Not sure if I'll pick it up again.

Meanwhile, we've got Netflix!!! Have been getting into Mindhunter. Also loved Collateral and Shetland.

Without going into too much detail, it largely focuses on Johnny and how his life wasn't quite how it appeared in the original movie.

And it's a funny show which helps. And so does that enigmatic horse headed individual, he's very helpful.

Just finished watching Manhunt: Unabomber on Netflix starring Sam Worthington. Thought it was quite good and told the story well.

Finished Fargo season 1. That was awesome. As good a TV show as I've seen in a long time.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Netflix has kept me entertained lately.

Alias Grace is an interesting show, definitely worth a watch. Mini-series which is a bit different from a lot of other shows going around.

                      Stranger Things is great.

13 Reasons Why Season 2 is solid too.

I really liked series one, the other two had some good moments but neither really quite got to the same heights as the first.

Westworld series one was great, I was in need of a lazy weekend a couple of months ago and went through the lot in a couple of days. The second series hasn't grabbed me to the extent the first did, about five episodes in and only one (last week's) has had me really wanting more.

The new SBS series Counterpart is really, really good.

Just finished watching the lot. Best new series I’ve seen in a long time. Really refreshing premise. See the YouTube trailer below.

Terrific cast, has everything you want. Remember Vern Schillinger from OZ played by J.K. Simmons? He is one of the leads. Brilliant. Ditto Olivia Williams.

A John le Carre cold war spy feel and plot, Berlin locations, a hot lesbian assassin, good plot and twists, hot lesbian sex, double agents and a weird twisted out of time love story, of sorts. Even features pandemic flu.

On the edge of your seat to the end. And there will be another series.

Absolute belter. Get into it on SBS on Demand. Or alternative means if you can.

I saw it advertised during the world cup I think and have watched the first couple of episodes. Good so far, glad you are reporting that it maintains the quality throughout. Best thing is there are only 10 episodes, I struggle to get the time to watch overly long series.

Just watched "Working Class Boy". Poor Jimmy. He had a real *!*!*!*!ed up childhood. It was a great doco though. I couldn't look away.
