If they do land him surely there is no way they can lure Butters as well.

Do you think he will go the money:

The Eagles' cards are on the table and they're big cards. Deals ranging from around $5million for three seasons to $8-9million for five seasons and for longer than that on the cusp of $2million a season. It puts West Coast where the chasing market is.

Worpel RFA, no real contract talks with the Hawks as yet.
I suspect he'll get offers, is he our Rowell/Butters back up plan?

I still want us to look at a BP type. Watching Sam Wicks since his move back, he's OOC too.

            Sounds about right.

Would Worpel be anything more than a depth player for us? Harmes and Kennedy and Garcia have slotted in nicely and Garcia is around the mark but do we need another?

Worpel is better than Harmes or Kennedy and miles ahead of the mistake ridden Garcia. 25 Brownlow votes in the last two seasons and he showed how good he was against us recently in Launceston.

With Libba's and Treloar's age and even Marcus turning 30 in November, he would be an astute recruitment if Butters isn't willing to come to us.

If we are going to eke out a Hawthorn midfielder, Josh Ward has better footskills and speed. Would be good fit on a wing for us.

They'd want a first plus change

I suspect this is why they're happy to let FA Worpel explore his options.

I'd take Worpel in a heart beat. ALways turns up, hard and agressive, natural player in the packs. Would be a great working class addition to our rovers, having a similar impact to what Kennedy has so far. Obviously different players, but I'd be confident he'd make a big impact immediately. Just on Kennedy, while he doesnt get the same number of touches someone like Jack or Daniels used to, he seems to have a big impact when he does. Kicks goals, takes strong grabs and smashes out of the contest. Love what he's done so far.

2nd that. We can't really be that picky and a guy like Worpel would certainly improve us.

                              From Mitch Cleary

Kysaiah Pickett has this week chosen to change managers from the SA-based Peter Rhode to WA-based Anthony Van Der Wielen. Van Der Wielen also manages Fremantle SSP signing Quinton Narkle, whose partner is the sister of Pickett's partner.

I hate saying it but we need to consider good offers for Marra. If he is going to be happier elsewhere lets accommodate that providing we get and acceptable offer.
