I posted in another thread we are looking at James Blanck from the Hawks, who is coming off an ACL. James has been pushed aside by Hawks bringing in Battle and Barrass.

James is 197cm and about to turn 25 and is a player that is good one on one.

I'm happy with this. Old school style KPD who would come cheap but had a lot of development left in his game, entered the AFL system late. Not a huge possession winner but that's not our no 1 criteria on the last line of defence for a tall.

Tom Morris reporting that Charlie Curnow wants to get to the Gold Coast Suns but the Blues have told his camp that he won't be traded.

Am I nuts in thinking that could be a win-win for both clubs? Curnow is 29 at the start of next season - it probably nets Carlton two first-rounders and gives the Suns a ready-made forward to partner King.

I'd be trying to make that work from both parties.
