I'd take Rowell and Butters over Harley Reid. Not sure if that is controversial at all.

The article suggesting we might try for both Rowell and Butters is pretty spicy...

Budarick plays every week for us. Our small defenders aren't very good compared to top 8 sides.
If we can pick up a second small defender, good.

By god we want to hope Sellwood can start playing next year.

Can Budarick actually defend? because my god quite a few of our players cannot.

I'm not sure that's much of a lost management consideration anymore.

Based on our current form, he'd be a chance sooner rather than later.

Kosi to sign a 9 year deal at $1.4m. That's pretty wild.

While we will all have to get use to big contracts that one does seem excessively high.

Should we be in for Wanganeen Milera?

Incredibly classy and damaging ball user, glides across the ground, name keeps coming up re SA but could we offer him a big deal that turns his head? I think he's the best player seemingly on the market (i rate him higher than Butters), and while i get the whole replace our ageing midfield thing NWM would massively help our ball movement and allow us the flexibility to maybe change into a less stoppage focused team.

Bergman and WM will probably swap clubs.

Speaking to a Melbourne mate he is ok with it, knows it's mad and risky on the back of Oliver however they know they're primarily draft and develop and they need to keep their good players to attract others.

To me it's a bit nuts that the market is driving these kind of deals. He's very good, however I always suspect he's going to do something stupid at any moment.

There is no way he doesn't pack up and go back to WA at some point.

Melbourne are the dumbest football club in the country.

On a 9 year deal they're in a pretty damn good position to handle that unless it becomes a cap issue

Have been thinking the same thing. His impact is massive, imagine what he's going to be like in a year. Absolute game breaker. I doubt he doesn't want to go home but a generous 2 year contract in a premiership window has to be tabled. If he doesn't trust the Crows culturally (and who can blame him) Port aren't his thing and not in cup contention, lets try. He's A ready to go A+ player not another retread bottom 6 Bramble type please. We keep repeating that mistake. JJ, Duryea are on their last legs. Sellwood is promising but unproven and not in Nasiah's league.
Is there a classier HB with a higher ceiling at the moment? I doubt it.
Can you imagine our team with him, Lobb and Dale at halfback? Insert "Exploding head emoji"

He's not really from WA though...you know that right?

Just like Charlie Cameron wanted to go 'HOME" to Brisbane after spending equal parts of his life in WA, SA and QLD, where players want to go 'HOME' too is often dependent on which club has the financial wherewithal to provide their family with the 'best' environment to grow and prosper.

And I don't blame them one bit.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.
