    Fixed.

With Croft coming, 4 for 10 and 17 is absolutely fine. We get a high end draft pick, manipulate the AFEL's stupid points system to our benefit to get Croft, and then use a late pick.

I'll keep coming back to it, but there is no justification for including the future 1st. If we wanted some more points then there were pick swaps, later picks, f2/3/4 that we could have included.

    I'm really struggling with it.

Yeah we get three thirds which should = 20ish, but yes. It's only remotely even if we go deep into the finals and I am not confident wit

Again, if I had to take a beat with even odds, I'd be going it's a bad trade. I am not just as absolute as others. If I were, I'd desperately wanting Power and/or Grant removed.

I'd be okay with them being booted.

We are effectively saying that the difference in quality between pick 4 and pick 10 this year (with Croft likely taking pick 17 if we didn't trade), is equal to a first round pick next year.

So we would prefer to have Watson and Croft than Pick 10, Croft, and a high end pick next year. I'm not sure that's justified by the reviews I've read of Watson (or McKercher).

Yep I guess that's my larger point. If we believe we are this wrong with a trade and are right. As in, (reasonable) fans can so clearly see it, then we are in a world of trouble.

Supposedly we're pretty interested in Duursma (toured the facilities) but he still prefers the Dons.

Not too sure if that's something to be worried about or not.

Also Suns list manager apparently has said (I assume on Trade Radio) deal isn't done for pick 4 as the Suns are waiting to see if the get a better offer. If the offer reported it correct we should be so lucky as to get someone offer more (Adelaide? Please?)

Anyone who chooses essendon over another club is probably worth avoiding. Can't recall any recent examples where it's panned out well for said player. Look at at Shiel, Saad etc

Well with Adelaide getting gifted Pick 19, maybe they now have a more compelling offer.

Maybe Wright the exception the proves the rule?

Did he knock others back? But yes, he would be one.

"He's very much a highly regarded member of our playing group," Dodoro told Continental Tyres AFL Trade Radio of Shiel.

"He'll be at the Essendon Football Club next year.
Haha I mean how transparent can you be? He wasn't at the BnF and the club didn't acknowledge his 200th game in their milestone rundown

Even if they were willing to part with 9 and 19, they'd need to be willing to also put their future first on the table to get ahead of us. I don't really see it as there's no top-line South Australian kid this year.

                            More wishful thinking than anything.

Yep. Our offer is still a way ahead.

So we are trading three first round picks for one first round pick, with the added bonus being that we’ll get extra thirds back to trade for two guys who suck.

This is a bad deal! Why are we doing any of this?
