The Hawthorn/West Coast fortnight of shame should rightfully be regarded as a tipping point for the entire club, and the mindset has to change for sustainable excellence.

Jeez, shouldn't us taking a collective nap in the middle of a winnable grand final have been the rueful tipping point?

Or atoning for that up by pissing away an 8 goal lead in a final versus a beaten Fremantle outfit?

Or then watching your industrious best and fairest winner bolting for the exit?

It feels like nothing's enough to jolt this mob into reliably demonstrating what they're reputedly capable of.

You're right though, after what transpired in the last month of this season should we invent another cruel and unusual way to humiliate ourselves, after effectively betting on ourselves in 2024, there'll be absolutely nowhere to hide, for any of them.
