ASADA issues show-cause notices to Essendon players
Re: ASADA issues show-cause notices to Essendon players
The thing I don't get is the issues around Hird claiming not to have received the Doc's letter stating his concerns about being bypassed by Dank. Hird claims he and the Doc had a father son type relationship so why would Reid only converse by written correspondence? Didn't they talk to each other?

It was all the players fault - so says Hird. (This really takes the cake. FMD)
Former Essendon coach James Hird says the banned 34 players made a "mistake" in keeping the injecting program a secret from anti-doping testers, and insists there was no directive from the club to do so.

Here is a very interesting counter-argument to the CAS decision. It borrows heavily from a piece written by my Bomber-fanatic uncle Darren Moore, and references him at the end of it. I'm not sure whether I agree that an injustice has been done but it does make for interesting reading.
