The thing I don't get is the issues around Hird claiming not to have received the Doc's letter stating his concerns about being bypassed by Dank. Hird claims he and the Doc had a father son type relationship so why would Reid only converse by written correspondence? Didn't they talk to each other?I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.Comment

Maybe Doc Reid knew Jimmy like only a father could and as a result made sure he wrote down anything that could be denied later on.They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

Here is a very interesting counter-argument to the CAS decision. It borrows heavily from a piece written by my Bomber-fanatic uncle Darren Moore, and references him at the end of it. I'm not sure whether I agree that an injustice has been done but it does make for interesting reading.
