    Re: 2021 Trade Period Talk

It's actually OK to acknowledge that they're dicks for doing it, but not be too phased by it at the same time.

They get to celebrate how they want, we get to call them dicks for doing it. Everyone's happy.
    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Good God, someone at The Age newspaper was giving their work-mates sweaty high-fives over this headline.
What a dreadful newspaper The Age has become over the years.

Hawthorn are open to trades for players over the age of 26. This includes Tom Mitchell, Jeager O’Meara, Chad Wingard and Jack Gunston.
Apparently Sam Mitchell even ringing around to clubs to attract interest?

I'd like Gunston but they will want too much for him, plus he missed a lot of footy last year due to a back injury.

He would be nice in combination with O'Brien with their ability to swing forward or back. Fits the Bevo mantra, but agree it's very unlikely.

That's a very strange approach to essentially have a coach to shop his players around with other coaches. How they manage this will be critical to environment going forward for them.

Could make for an interesting first day of pre-season training.

Depends with the Hawks situation. I think AFL is quite immature with list management/trading. If done in consultation with the players, saying we are going in this direction, we still value you etc. The 'win, win, win' approach is possible.

Of course if not handled with sensitivity and respect it can quickly turn very toxic.

Wingard always likes our insta posts ha! I remember when he fooled quite a few of us a few years ago.

I actually think Chad had a really good year not sure he would be our first priority though.

Feel wise is one of Hawks players end up at Richmond, they are well placed draft pick wise.

                              I'd put our future first on the table (maybe more) if we could get a combination of the following;

                              Ceglar/McEvoy + Wingard/O'Meara

** I realise our mid group is stacked but if we got O'Meara I'd trial Bont as a full time forward. If we got Wingard, I'd play Chad forward with stints in the mid.

** McEvoy is nearing the end but we need a ruck. He's been durable.

** I know the above wouldn't happen for many reasons, but I'd like to see us go 'all out' - we're bloody close to a flag..

Wingard and Ugle-Hagan / Naughton would be fun to watch.
But actually McEvoy would be super handy I reckon. Is he cooked?
