I hope that includes Lual. But if there’s only about 60 picks I wonder what the chances are he could slide into a Cat B spot? Slim, but what a result that would be.

I expect there's little chance we get him as a Cat B, and I'm not sure he gets to 40.
It only takes one team to rate him.
I'm expect Essendon to bid on Croft too - they need a KPF and they are utter bastards.

This comes back to strategy and any agreement with GCS. But if we bid on two GCS kids and they will match. Then we have Pick 8 on the same player anyway. That’s enough points even at Pick 9 (Melb) and Lual without deficit. It will be interesting on draft night to see if we put it a bid on at least Read (or two) to enhance our position.
Why can’t Lual just have a social media photo taken with some lines of plain flour? That’s gotta get him to slide a bit.

They might be one of the clubs who might go earlier on him but they'll probably only select 3 players at the draft all before pick 40 so i doesn't really help them and it doesn't stop us from matching that pick. I think they could more likely select Lual with their last pick
It will be interesting to see if the fact that the Davey twins weren't bid on gives them a more fair minded view of the world on draft day.
If Essendon or any other team rate Croft in the top 10 they should bid on him but I remain hopeful that he's more of a 13, 14 or 15 type pick for clubs.

Their pick will slide back by probably two spots anyway due to GCS bids (as BT pointed out) - pushes it back from 9 to 11.
Melbourne have pick 11 (13) so they're probably the next likely bidders.
The nature of this year's AFL Draft pool brings about changes week on week, so we've set up a page for our rolling rankings each week.
Lual 39, Croft 13
Some interesting sliders into the 20s and 30s too. I think there's some decent talent to be had with Tholstrup, Stevens, Edwards, Schoenmaker, Freijah and Goad.
I'd be okay with missing on Lual - not sure about his ball handling or ball use.

Western Australian draft prospect Aiden O’Driscoll has given an insight into what fans can expect from him if he lands on a list, flagging Errol Gulden as his main inspiration.
The crafty winger, also the brother of Fremantle’s Nathan and sister of AFLW Docker Emma, admitted that he has closely watch Gulden’s playing style in an attempt to emulate it in his own game.
“I love to play my style like his, to be honest,” he told SEN WA’s Breakfast with Scotty and Goss.
“He just follows up, follows up, follows up. He just keeps on going and that’s what I want to base my game around definitely.”
Whilst a lesser-known name in the upcoming draft pool, O’Driscoll has proven that he can have a huge influence on games, playing for the West Australian state side and Perth in the WAFL Colts competition.
He noted that flying under the radar has suited him, which was on full display when he produced impressive results at the AFL Draft Combine.
“I felt a little bit nervous (at the combine), obviously being a little runt there I guess,” he said.
“And not knowing what’s ahead of me; I’m coming from WA, not really talked about as much as these Victorian players.
“I guess I just used my athletic ability to do the talking and it worked – I got like top 10 in all combine results, so it was pretty good.”
Hailing from the small town of Northam, O’Driscoll boarded over an hour away at Wesley College in Perth, indicating that he is no stranger to moving away from home should an interstate club draft him.
“I just want to get on a list,” he said.
“I struggled a bit in boarding at first, but I guess you just find friendships and relationships with people like coaching staff and friends and it all just comes together.”
The small wingman also wanted to go down his own unique path as a player, admitting that whilst it would be great to play with his brother at Fremantle, it isn’t a particular desire of his.
“It would be a great story, but I just want to get on a list,” he said.
“I want to carve my own mark, instead of living off the brother and sister name I guess.”
O’Driscoll will soon find out if his AFL dream becomes true when the National Draft kicks off on November 20.
