Who would we look at with pick 9 ?

As I mentioned earlier, we could still possibly get Stringer or Menzel may be worth taking a risk on if he falls that far.
We would then have addressed our onball issues and a mid sized forward issue who can kick goals.

We can only dream if we get those three players to the club, it would really set us up for the future.

So now it's 'not worth going over'.
His comments were based around Dogs supporters not wanting Sherman. If we dont want him how can anyone realistically think that he can be a sweetener on a trade? If we were to trade him straight up at the moment we'd be lucky to get a 3rd rounder. So pick 5 + 3rd rounder is not going to get it done.

Obviously Chops went OTT but surely you could understand his main point?

Its good to dream, the climb up may be more exciting.

Fair enough, but he threw Jarrad Grant into the same 'worth zero' bucket.

DD, it could also be argued we'd lucky to get a 3rd round pick for Grant.
More of an In Bruges guy?

Yeah would be hard to argue against that really. Hasn't shown more than Everitt before his trade IMO.

Martin and Anderson alone would be fantastic, but throwing in pick 9?

                    Doesn't sound very even
                    .
Agree, I would be surprised if it happened. I rate Anderson around the 15 mark so effectively it's pick 5 & 6 for Martin, 15 and 9.

In place of the 9, I would think a prelisted player or a different pick from GWS (2nd round) seems more even.

There'd be half the supporters on here doing cartwheels if that scenario occurred, obviously it would require Richmond to add sweeteners to their trade for Tyson as pick 9 alone wont cut it.

I assume GWS wont even use picks after the 2nd round so Richmond may need to trade heavily to get enough in the kitty to entice GWS to do the deal.

Have to wonder if Emma took that trade from the "interwebz" or she has a decent source.

The sudden inclusion of Anderson makes it sound fishy given it was mooted on here as a scenario, but then maybe Fantasia read it here and thought, that's a cool idea

No joke, I emailed Jason McCartney with that suggestion a few months ago (with a few other suggestions) and to my surprise got a reply from him.

                                Glad to hear it.

Going to be an interesting few days leading up to the mini draft. I hope this rumor has legs.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?
