Re: 2012 Trade rumours and discussion
Unless GC think that the Cats are in decline and will drop out of the eight and hence sweeten the pick. Depends on the other players the cats have given up. But it does look like the Cats have done well.Don't piss off old people

If you follow SuperCoachPaige on Facebook or Twitter that's who runs it. They're also on Facebook under the same handle or similar. Pretty much reports all gossip on the grape vines. Probably a 60% strike rate. Good for Collingwood news though.Comment

Re: 2012 Trade rumours and discussion
That compensation pick, which can be taken after the ninth-placed team's first pick, has not been activated for this year's national draft, but it can be used in the 2013, '14 or '15 drafts.Comment

Re: 2012 Trade rumours and discussion
At a guess just ordinary guys but wouldn't be surprised they have an insider at Collingwood. Some stuff they post is correct but they were also saying that Caddy to North was a done deal yesterday. What's the old saying? A broken clock is right twice a day?Comment

Re: 2012 Trade rumours and discussion
I just sent this email to the club.
First time I've ever emailed them about anything ever.
I have been a member of the club for about 20 years and have never contacted the club before about any issue.
I am writing this email to express my hope that the club doesn't use our pick 21 on Chris Dawes.
I have seen the club recruit 2nd and 3rd string forwards with regular monotony over the years.
They never work out. They never change the clubs fortunes. They never 'deliver'.
By trading Brian Lake we have heard the message loud and clear that the club is rebuilding for long term success.
And one benefit of trading Brian was an upgrade from pick 27 to 21.
So PLEASE use the pick on a kid in the draft. PLEASE.
I will be seriously disillusioned with the club if it goes through with the Dawes deal.
I can handle pain while there's hope.
I can't handle mediocrity.
Yours Sincerely.
