Those two words sum it up. We got too excited and went early. You would think we could have got 21 alone had we stalled for a week or so

Water under the bridge. Lakes gone. We know what we've got for him. No moaning or groaning will change that. Let's move on.

Dawes to Melbourne for #20 and exchange of later pick. Don't think it's officially confirmed yet though.

Mark Stevens is tweeting 20 and 45 to Collingwood. Dawes and 58 to Melbourne.

Thank God for that. Now we just need to dodge Gumbleton.
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

                Hope it gets done.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

More than we would have paid.

If there was any way we could get Gumbleton without losing or downgrading pick 21 I'd be for it.

Collingwood have done very well to get picks 17,18 and 20. Look set to answer any qualms about their younger brigade

The coach believes Higgins will complete his first full pre-season for the last 3 years and is confident that Higgins can get a lot better.

I wouldn't trade him unless something great was offered.

It could be an issue though. Essendon may use it as a template, personally there is no comparison as Dawes has managed to string more than 3 games in a row. Bombers are pricks to deal with and they won't part with him easily.

It's a hard one - Gumby has nowhere near the runs on the board, and Dawes has shown a capacity to play through injury.
Having said that a fit Gumby is a super talent, we just haven't seen it yet.

Like Higgins and Tom Williams pretty much?

According to the HUN 'trade chat' guy, Gumbleton is close to re-signing with the Dons.

Looks like the rest of the comp might force us to actually use these picks which are burning a hole in our pocket.

For a laugh: some dogs fan asked the guy - 'why isnt Sherman getting a game at the dogs " and he answered "hes no good".

                              fair enough then.

Re: 2012 Trade rumours and discussion

                                If this were true:

But the Herald Sun can reveal the Giants are now prepared to part with picks 2, 3, 12 and 13 in a bid to add some top-line senior players to their fledgling side.

What players have we got that might be of interest to them? Looking at our list the only players fitting the 'top line senior player' criteria I can see that might get a 12 or 13 are Griffin and maybe Picken. All the rest are either too young, over 30, no good or eligible for some form of FA .

And I'm torturing myself imaging what we would have got for Cal Ward this year under that formula.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
