If there was any way we could get Gumbleton without losing or downgrading pick 21 I'd be for it.
It could be an issue though. Essendon may use it as a template, personally there is no comparison as Dawes has managed to string more than 3 games in a row. Bombers are pricks to deal with and they won't part with him easily.

It's a hard one - Gumby has nowhere near the runs on the board, and Dawes has shown a capacity to play through injury.
Having said that a fit Gumby is a super talent, we just haven't seen it yet.
But the Herald Sun can reveal the Giants are now prepared to part with picks 2, 3, 12 and 13 in a bid to add some top-line senior players to their fledgling side.
What players have we got that might be of interest to them? Looking at our list the only players fitting the 'top line senior player' criteria I can see that might get a 12 or 13 are Griffin and maybe Picken. All the rest are either too young, over 30, no good or eligible for some form of FA .
And I'm torturing myself imaging what we would have got for Cal Ward this year under that formula.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
