Isn't Aish a polished/skilful mid? He is predicted to be top 3, some have even said no 1. He is a bit light though which does worry me

He's a little gem, but we need more height. Won't be unhappy if we get him though.

Who would you like to draft with our first pick? Boyd or Scharenburg? Both will have that height. For me Boyd is obvious if available but not sure if I would prefer Sharenburg or Kelly if Boyd not available

Boyd available, Boyd is ours, no question. My bias is for a bit of outside class with height/bulk so I'd lean towards Scharenberg and Sheed ( who I rate, but some think it might be a little high), but we just don't need another small inside or undeveloped body with where we are currently.

But I'd be very happy if we had him

Who do you think will be the better player in the long run?

Toumpas will be fine in the longer run. Aish can play against the men now so should transition quickly.

I like the sound of Scharenberg.
Can't wait to yell out 'Come on Shazza' at the footy.

Interesting article We'll only trade for a star: Sheedy

as well as Eye on the future, Adelaide may trade Sloane for high draft pick

toumpas also did well in league footy in the Sanfl

I really wouldn't know but suspect that Scharenberg would have a bigger effect quicker than Aish

I would do pick 3 for Sloane in a heartbeat. Unless Adelaide have their hearts set on Boyd then they very well may get the player they want at 3 that they'd get at pick 1.

I tend to agree but think we can play hard ball with the crows. They find themselves in a very difficult position (all there own fault), and we have the higher ground would love Sloane or Talia.

                          Re: 2013 draft watch

I think i have heard almost every club wanting to trade for pick 1. Whether there is substance behind it all i dont know but there is talk of it every day. Will be interesting to see what happens though. I dont think we have a chance regardless as we dont have any player to entice GWS apart from Griff who is off limits. The only thing that will help us is we have a high pick ourselves. But that wont satisfy GWS IMO

Interesting James Aish 3 goals and second best for Norwood yesterday.
                            Is Scharenberg playing senior footy?

He is, and has been doing pretty well too.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

For any SA's who watch Scharenberg & Aish regularly, which one of those two would be a better fit with our club/more of what we need?

What I read is that we are more likely of sneaking Scharenberg than Aish but it will depend on the Saints.
