I've just sat and listened to Mavis Staples for half an hour. That woman can sing.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Going to the Caravan tonight to see The Substitutes. Ninety percent Who with some Pretty Things, Stones etc thrown in. Just practicing my windmill action now...

Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones

Went out on a school night with hubby to see Jebediah do their 20th Anniversary show - and play Slightly Odway in it's entirety.

It was excellent fun, I still really enjoy that whole album. Threw it on in the car on the way home from work to get into the mood and nearly blew up the speakers in the Corolla rocking out Teflon! Bit sad to have missed Bodyjar supporting - both bands took me straight back to my high school days!
Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell

Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath

And we all found heaven - 2016 Premiers!

Off to see Tim Rogers and The Bamboos at the Corner tonight. He is my favourite Kangaroos supporter.

My sons band is up inBrisbane soon, they had to do a promo for the gig and did it in the style of the old 80s sitcoms.
Here it is, my son has the beard.

I see Luna is playing at the NSC in September. That's a must see for me.
Been hooked on them since seeing 'Slash your tires' on rage many years ago.

The video is weird looking at it 20 years later.

                    It was weird then too.

I saw Against Me about a month ago who played a really good show, but I'd highly recommend the support band Pale Heads. They're local and made up of peeps from Nation Blue, an ex Drone and others. Cracking live band, very powerful

Heading to the Willy RSL tonight to see 'Absolutely Live - the Doors show'. Apparently very good musicians and look forward to hearing the Doors music played live for the first time.

Hopefully they do their version of Stairway To Heaven Doors style. Hilarious.

For those who haven't heard it, it's worth checking out on You Tube.

They are really good musicians and put on a good show.

How was the show Hose ?
I saw The D21stC at the Myer Music Bowl in 2005 (?) with Ian Astbury (reincarnated as Jim), Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger and it will go down as one my all time favourite concerts.
