Gomez have just added an extra Melbourne show for those interested. The new show is at the Espy on November 16. The two Thornbury shows are sold out.

The tour is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Liquid Skin. I will be catching the Adelaide leg and if the footy was on I would probably come over and catch an extra Melbourne show.

Went to see Lloyd Speigl last Wednesday. He’s an amazing guitarist. I haven’t picked (any of) mine up since the gig...what’s the opposite of inspiration???

I hear you Mike. There is nothing more exhilarating and yet equally as uninspiring as seeing (not necessarily live in the flesh) someone play amazing guitar. Who says you can't hold two diametrically opposed views at the same time.
I've both been simultaneously amazed and felt like burning my Strat & Maton when watching Hendrix, Dutch Tilders and Taj Mahal respectively.

Yeah it was a pretty good gig. Melbourne Arena isnt the greatest venue for sound quality but they played well and every one was dancing like it was the 90s again. Love gigs like this.

The giant screen behind was nuts too, lasers and smoke coming through it, hadn't seen something like that before.

I still haven't got Dockers tickets yet. I might have to impress my kids and get our names on the door. The first time I took my kids to see them I ended up on stage singing a song that I always used to sing (you're going home in the back of a divvy van!)and then we ended up in the dressing rooms after the gig helping to drink their rider. They had never seen their dad like that and their eyes were saucer sized!!!

Just got tix to Children Collide at Howler. Didn't think they'd ever play together again, but here we go. New Album out soon too.

Well. I've got tix for Friday and have been in touch with the band who have assured me I can come Saturday as well 'if I am in Melbourne'. The challenge is, I don't have a footy fixture for the WAFL as yet and am coaching so I don't even know if I can make it to the concert I have paid for.

I feel like I have been waiting to see these guys since 2008 and am pretty determined to come across but...

Why would they come to Australia in footy season? Don't they know I've got sh!t to do!!!

3rd show added at the Corner on the Sunday. I might have trouble getting this one past Treasury....

I'm so jealous!!! Especially being a Howler, just up the road from me. Hubby has a Xmas function on that night so I'm on kid duty

They are playing a warm up gig at the cherry bar on the Tuesday before it, tickets only $22.

I love CC a lot so im super pumped.

Many years ago I got home from work on a monday night absolutely exhausted and just wanting to go to bed. But there is a message to ring my mate who was head of security at the Corner Hotel. I ring him and all he would say was "Mate, get to the pub tonight, I can't tell you why but if you miss it you will never forgive yourself" But I'm all "Pete, mate, I'm *!*!*!*!ed. It's Monday night, I just want to sleep" so he asked me to put my girlfriend on and talked her into talking me into going to the Corner on a *!*!*!*!ing Monday night.

She did and I am very glad that she did. It was the Rolling Stones doing a warm up gig!
