Funnily enough the ex girlfriend I was talking about said exactly that on the weekend. We were talking to our kids (not OUR kids, just the kids we happened to end up with separately!) and one of them said "You two should write a book"

The problem is with all the chemicals we took I don't remember if all of these things actually happened or we just imagined them. She has a very good memory for specific events though. I might say "is that the night we were getting in the cab and somebody threw an egg at us?" and she will say "Nope, that was the night Adam jumped in the cab through the window because those yuppies were going to beat us to it"
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Don't let "facts" and "truths" get in the way of a good yarn.

I guess I could write it as fiction.

I like this disclaimer (from The Boy’s Life by Tobias Wolf), I think it could be apt for your stories:

I have been corrected on some points, mostly of chronology. Also my mother claims that a dog I describe as ugly was actually quite handsome. I’ve allowed some of these points to stand, because this is a book of memory, and memory has its own story to tell. But I have done my best to make it tell a truthful story.

With that mum quote. I read Liza Minelli's biography and a quote from it his stuck with me ever since. "Judy (she calls her mum Judy!) and I could look out of the same window and describe two totally different views"

I know exactly what she meant. My mum and I tend to clash.

I saw Faith No More on their first Melbourne tour when virtually nobody had heard of them. I can't remember which band it was (maybe The Meanies or the Cosmic Psychos or the Hard Ons-guys It's a group of guys I know personally but just can't remember which one!) had met them OS, liked them and ended up supporting hem on a European tour and then returned the favor by getting them to support them on an Australian tour (maybe it was Beasts of Bourbon). It was at the Old Greek Theatre.

Yeah that was the 80s and the first chunk of the 90s for me. that's why I'm still not entirely sure what band it was. Pretty sure it was Psychos, they were forever adopting bands overseas and bringing them back with them. L7, Mudhoney, the Melvins. Pretty sure they were tight with Nirvana too.

Yep the old drummer (Bill Walsh) had Kurt's Fender. One of the barmen at Cherry used to play with it occasionally when he had a two-piece with Bill. Going back quite a few years now.

Ya know we've been for an hour and I'm beginning to smell the flowers. I said "Bill you're outta the band, if you wanna pack I'll lend you a hand." You're out of the band. You're out of the band. TakeitonemoretimeBillygo

Ya know me old mate Dirty you were never the same since you turned thirty. You never were much of a man. I said Dirt you're outta the band.

You're too old so if you wouldn't mind just pissing off so's I can get some new talent in

Big couple of months coming up

Snared a Gizzard Bushfire relief ticket for this Friday at the Croxton
                            Sunday - Tool
Early March - Weyes Blood in Castlemaine
April - Tame Impala (both shows - taking my boy to the Friday night for his first concert - he's playing half time in the AFLW game this Saturday too!)
                            May - Faith No More

Saw Yawning Man at the Bendigo last month - I knew they wouldn't play Catamaran, but they are very solid live if you're into instrumental ambient rock.

At the Theatre Royal? WOOF has a connection to Castlemaine because Gary and I both lived there when we were younger. Although I think he's a Sandhurst supporter-we can't all be perfect.
