Fast forward 2 years and floor boards / new furniture went in & ushered out the soul of the joint.
Oh wow, the Parkview. We used to live above a florist shop directly across the corner (the corners were the Parkview, a medical centre, Piedemonte's supermarket and the florist we lived above) one sunday afternoon we were walking home and a bloke asked us if we wanted to help load in for the band playing that night/ "who's the band?" "A new band called Weddings, Parties, Anything" "Nup we've seen them and you can stick 'em up your arse"
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Tool last night, what an amazing gig once again for these guys. Just so tight and never disappoint. One of the best stadium bands around. Still making great music.

Bunch of old dudes rocking out for a bunch of old dudes in the crowd. Long live MoR music haha, Danny Carey is not human.

It was amazing Chef. I've never seen them before and sat there just amazed through the entire concert. 46 & 2 blew the roof off!

I've seen them a few times and they never cease to amaze. Stinkfist sending them off with a bang. Hope its not their last visit.

            He can't be.

Saw them last night - epic doesn't do it justice. How good was the light show? (especially during Pneuma) Maynard even exuded....could you call it 'warmth' ?

Nursed tinnitus to about 2 AM - battling at my desk right now.

Saw Mammal last night at the Espy, what a great live band they are. Sound was so good and the front man just has so much energy and charisma.

How's the new Espy shape up Chef?

As someone who lived in and loved St Kilda 20 years ago, the Gershwin room is nice and grungey and a great spot for a band to play. The rest of the pub is to new St Kilda for me, looks nice but its lost all its character .

Yeah I went to the POW a while ago and it was an underwhelming experience. No sticky carpet anywhere!

The bar set up at the Espy is confusing - and pretty effing loud.

I only did it a few times, but the watching the sunset from the old front bar was a real treat.

I went to see the Bad Seeds play in St Kilda one night-I think it was at the Venue around 1987-and afterwards I found my self on St Kilda beach completely off my guts while a huge thunderstorm rolled in from the south.

                        It was magnificent.

Caught Tim Rogers solo at the Brunswick Ballroom(previously Spotted Mallard) last weekend. Such a brilliant Australian songwriter and performer.

Me too! Also just collected my vinyl of Crawler from the post office and am listening to it as we speak. Great album.

So excited to have something to look forward to, it's been a shit few years. But in spite of it all, life is beautiful.
