Would have liked to see NOFX but the ticket prices were a little rich for my blood. Especially seeing as it feels like Festival Hall should pay me to step foot in there.

Agree its a rip off, but its the last time I'll get to see them and I've loved them for nearly 30 years. Cant miss it.

I dont mind Festival Hall nowadays, hopefully high prices and 2 gigs means it wont be too packed.

When I saw Tentpole for a nano second I thought you might have meant Tenpole Tudor the British punk band from the '70s.

Has anyone listened to the "Just Ace 90's" podcast?

I've just started it and whilst it's admittedly right in my wheelhouse (I started uni in 1989) I've just finished episode 3 or 4 (whichever one is on the Hummingbirds) and it's been bloody awesome.

Haven?t heard of it. But I?ll have a listen. I did see The Hummingbirds final Melbourne show at the Central Club in 93 maybe? Just found out while trying to look up the date that Simon Holmes passed away in 2017. That sucks.

The guy who runs the pod did a nice little piece on Simon Holmes in the Hummingbirds episode...Alimony is one of the songs on my wife and mine's well worn 'date-night'/'weekend away' playlist (as is lots of other stuff from this era of course).
