There's a seven part series on Netflix called "Godless" that I really liked and I'm not really into Westerns.

I'd be interested to hear if people who are think it's good.

I just finished it. Loved it. Jeff Daniels was amazing as the main baddie Frank Griffin.
Some of the characteristics that makes Jeff Daniels such a relatable and likeable actor just mesh perfectly in his portrayal of Frank Griffin. There is a scene around the campsite of some German pioneers he had his gang come across that is just fantastic acting on Daniels' behalf. In that scene as he tells his story, whilst bouncing a young child on his knee, he manages to invoke both sympathy and bowel-emptying fear: you learn both the origins of as well as the depths of his depravity.

The show at times gave off some Red Dead Redemption kinda vibes

I've started watching Colin from Accounts. I found the first episode hard yards but the last few have been good with some genuine belly laugh moments.

I just finished the 6 part series "A Spy Amongst Friends" based on real life spy Kim Philby and his three mates who were M16 but working for the KGB. The show flip flops between different time periods, so you really have to concentrate with this one.

Movie wise I loved Unforgiven and Dead Man. The Sister's brothers was both a great book and a good movie.

I enjoyed Hell on Wheels and many years ago the Lonesome Dove/Streets of Laredo series were enjoyable too.

Did you watch 'Old Henry' on Prime?

Over Xmas I stumbled upon Godfather of Harlem and I'm now into the 2nd series. I've enjoyed it so far.

Loosely based on a true story it centers around Bumpy Johnson who returns to Harlem after 11 years in jail and tries to re-establish his old territory. Forest Whitaker is an excellent actor and at times the role he plays reminds me of when he was in the Shield.

I have been watching Slow Horses and have been binging on it. Two seasons of 6 episodes each and I am into the second season.

Basically about MI5 discards who are banished to a disciplinary unit.

It was a really good first season, how is the second holding up?

I watched S3 of Jack Irish the past couple of days. Good Aussie drama, with a bit of humour.

Slow Horses is one of the best shows on tv. Not sure there is a better character on tv currently than Jackson Lamb played by Gary Oldman. Cannot wait for S3.

Finally had a couple of days to watch Reservation Dogs S2 and Atlanta.

I really do wish I had the vocabulary to describe how original each of those shows are. Storylines, character arc, acting, directing.

He is brilliant in the role and also Christopher Chung playing Rodney is Melbourne born and played in Neighbours before heading overseas.

Season 3 apparently to be released later this year and season 4 on the way as well. Agree, one of the bets shows I have seen for a long time.
