I have never been impressed with him and he is now getting on. We don't need another 30 year old who no one wants to play their team.

Any of this change if we lose tonight, miss finals or Bevo isn?t around next year?

We already have 3/4 backs that wouldn’t get games at other clubs.

Agreed. Tomlinson looks ok as a third behind May and Lever.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

We literally get linked to Tomlinson every year.

Our list management strategy will be interesting. I don't mind adding a player like Henry who is young and very talented, albeit I am not convinced he's hard enough at the contest in a position where you need to go when it's your turn. Still - much prefer to take the plunge on a player like Henry than fringe players like Baker/TOB/Hannan/Tomlinson etc.

I'm honestly fine with trading English. He's a good player but nobody needs rucks to win the ball 20+ times - it's a luxury - I want a ruck who is a competitive physical beast who can intimidate and make those around him better.

Oh come on. He might not be the ruck you want but he is most certainly a ruckman.

In a very much worst case scenario I think many things would change if we lose to the Gliders and Bevo was to depart. Hopefully none of that comes true.

Of course, it goes without saying. Let’s see what happens.

-B Smith - Club doesn't intent to let him go, he doesn't plan to go, it's all media bullshit because his having a down period.
-Tenglish - Real belief in the recruitment field that he'll be at WCE next season, my recruitment contact believes a ''Buddy like'' offer of several mill over 5 years has been put to him from WCE, alot of clubs waiting with baited breath to see what happens here. If the inevitable does happen it's expected the Dogs will make a play for Grundy and pick 1 from WCE. English will be the lynchpin in a fair few moves this off season it seems.
-Naughton not going anywhere, confident next contract will be his last
                    -Buku has interest from Essendon
-Crozier is shopping around and not finding much interest
-Dimma to GC is all but signed off, Dusty might just join him up there as well.
                    -Dogs are in Tomlinsons ear
-Liam Henry 99% will be a Dog next season
-bit of talk around Lachie Schultz wanting out of Freo for a Vic club as well.
-If Barass goes anywhere 99% its going to be to Sydney, Dogs are one of the interested clubs but seems like Sydney are the leaders in that race.
-Melbourne and Sydney are chasing Oscar Allen, trying to pry him out of WCE
-McKay asking way to much, wants years + 850k+, not much interest in him on our end.

Our club is going to war with the media behind the scenes, pulling back from all but mandatory media engagements, be prepared to see alot of hit pieces / bullshit written about us for a while to come, including bullshit about player movement / players not happy / Bevo is satan, this is a conscious decision made at board level. No idea why or what good it's going to do if you ask me.
Weirdly, I have heard every one of these rumours except for the Swans link to Allen.
FWIW Barrass apparently has a sister living in Sydney, so I can understand with a young family why he'd only consider Sydney and nowhere else.

With some upcoming retirements too, and if their B&F goes, they will need to find a trade target to offer a lot of money to to make the minimum salary cap payment. I wonder who they could target with a monster offer?

                        Do you mean WC?

They are better off to load up on as many first rounds as possible and build from bottom up

Retain Naughts, Darcy payrise. I assume we had cash earmarked for Doedee pre ACL.

I get the feeling we're going to be very active this year. Plus Dunkley is off the books...

Sorry, WCE. They need to pay the minimum cap. No Barass and retirements means they’ve got to pay someone some big bucks to make the minimum cap.

We have a HUGE amount of cash by my reckoning. Just need to find the right player/s.
