"we desperately need speed on the outside...no no, not THAT speed on the outside"

How many guys in the AFL are:
      - quick
      - skilful
      - tough/love a hard ball

I'm going with 10 or less. You've gotta celebrate what players can do - improve their weaknesses, no doubt - but don't pigeon hole them just because of one or two things they aren't good at.

Scared or petrified was never something I saw from Lipinski. I don't think this applies to him at all.

Yep. Lipinski is slower than a wet week but has never had an issue with courage over the ball.

Told to me this morning from a Collingwood recruiter.

Sure, listening if it involves pick 4.

It makes sense. His wife and daughter live in Brisbane. His best mate is in that part of the world too. But going to a fourth club would really cement him as a journeyman with no real spiritual home when he retires.

As in the sweetener to win the race for it. Handing them a heap of points, they’re tight in cap, maybe we make a contribution if we get something for it.

Hypothetically say Smith for Pick 10.

                        Picks 10 & 17/18 & Treloar (plus salary) for Pick 4 and Hollands/Flanders type.

Does it actually make a lot of sense? I don't think Hardwick will want an ageing midfielder even one that is performing like Treloar is when he already has Miller, Rowell, Anderson, Flanders, Ellis, Fiorini, Swallow and the emerging Humphrey.

Unless they expect a fire sale I don't think it's that realistic especially after jettisoning Bowes contract last year.

I disagree with that. In a number of big games in big moments he wasn't harder enough at the contest. Maybe that has evolved. But he let himself down a number of times.

Make sense that he would want to go. Agree, not saying it makes sense for Gold Coast.

Losing Dunkley, Hunter, Treloar and probs Smith in the space of 12 months while Macrae and Libba are coming to the end.
