Meh. He will want his cut.

VFL Today: Lohmann, 4.2, 16 touches, 6 marks, 6 tackles

Lohmann, Clarke & Arty as the smalls with Weightman and the big boys is a better looking outfit next year. I hope we can convince the Ballarat boy to pick us.

Dylan Stephens - outside mid - former pick 5 - seen as gettable with North interested.

Sydney interested in Grundy, and Beatson says any club not asking about him would be crazy…

Surely Stephens is a better option over Liam Henry.

Henry can play. We need his pace on the wing and has excellent skills. Hawks cut us up with pace and keeping possession. He is the type of player we need. Give me him over Baker on a wing any day.

I agree he’s quick. That’s where it ends for me.

When all goes well he?s got pace and skill, but I worry that like Gardner, he?s got skill on paper but is prone to errors when put under pressure. The type of player to go missing when serious heat is applied, and I?m not convinced his good games he?s had this year are not just a purple patch in an otherwise mediocre career so far.

As a DFA I?d be fine with taking a punt, but Freo would be expecting a not-insignificant trade price for him. Very keen on Lohmann or Robertson from the Lions, but otherwise rather primarily hit the draft this year and see change come via the coaching panel

Henry will be s good player yes thanks.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

I'm saying no to Henry as well unless it doesn't cost us overs at the trade table and salary which it won't. Freo will want something decent in return and we'd have to pay overs in terms of salary. We really need to draft for the needs for our team. It's time our recruiters stepped up, they've had free hits for a while in JUH and Darcy, now find what we need in the draft.

Talented player and I get why we would be linked with him but some big question marks for me.
The one thing in his favor and its something that we've often struggled with over the years when recruiting players is that he is young enough and good enough to potentially play 100 plus games for us.
Duryea, Bruce, Keath, Martin, Treloar, O'Brien, Jones and Lobb were certainly targeted with a view of being a shorter horizon 'we are in the window' type players.

How Freo view Henry's value at the trade table could be a deal breaker. His 17 games in his 2nd year was an impressive effort but there has to be some questions on his durability and the effort he brings since then.

It's going to be hard to pry Lohmann or Robertson off the Lions. I'm hopeful but not confident.

                          Good call.

I'm in favour. Hopefully we can get him at a good price. He certainly would supplement the team and I could see him flourishing under Bevo.

It's hard to play when your petrified.

Be careful what you wish for.

Points well made and it's why I mentioned there were some big question marks for me.
We need talent and pace which he has but we don't need inconsistency in performance/effort and by the sounds of things a willingness to crack in.
