Just thought I would put it out there my son plays in a band called party vibez they have been playing around collingwood and are to play in Swan street Richmond in 2 weeks, this weekend he is playing up in Brisbane, if your into thrash that is :-)

I bought Wilco tix today. Have Refused in a few weeks, seriously considering Brother Ali also. Unfortunately Japandroids are playing only at Laneway, no sideshow dammit.

Wilco tickets arrived today and had a great night at the music bowl on Wednesday with The Black Keys.

Now that I think of it I did see you at Booker T and the Driveby truckers didn't I.

Think she's great. Really loved the "I Learned the Hard Way" album.

Quite a few BD. Howlin for You, 10 cent Pistol, Next Girl, Sinister Kid, Everlasting Light, She's Long Gone and Tighten Up.

Three quarters of their set is now played as a quartet with only a few older tracks left exclusively to Dan and Patrick.

They were a double bill earlier this year with Hall & Oates and were awesome. Enjoy

Seen Lucero last year as support for Dropkick Murphys, they were amazing.
Ben Nichols voice is one of a kind.

I saw Iggy and The Stooges at Big Day Out a few years ago. I've been to a lot of gigs over the years and seen most of the great bands (Ramones, Sonic Youth, Violent Femmes, Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks etc.) but The Stooges were far and away the best I've ever seen.

I went to the BDO for one hour that year and have to agree. Nobody i've seen has the intensity of The Stooges. Apparently Scott Ashton wont be on drums this time round.

I may not be able to count but does that just make it Iggy and a bunch of guys who weren't Stooges? (with ultimate respect to Mike Watt on bass who was in the Minutemen and therefore untouchable by anything anyone can say)

Well, James Williamson, who played and co-wrote on Raw Power, is apparently coming out. But the Ashtons are not. And there is no truth in the rumour that their will be cameos from Larry and Curly...
