I've since heard that apparently it was because Limp Bizkit pulled out. Effin' Fred Durst. Ugh.

I have read on the Triple M website that Aerosmith were supposed to be the '2nd headliner' band and that they pulled out. Limp Bizkit have said they were never on the bill and also they're playing overseas on 24th September so couldn't be here anyway. A proper explanation would be nice so we can know for sure & then the rumours might stop. Frustrating....

My sons death metal band is playing in Melton on friday at the civic centre if anyones into that stuff.
I am certainly not but being dad I kinda have to go.

Some idiot must of told the bands there were playing Melton?

Talking about crap band venues/place anyone go to infamous GnR gig at Calder Park or the AC/DC Myer Music bowl riot?

I was at the AC/DC riot. I wasn't inside though I was on the outside of the barriers.

I was at Guns n Roses at Calder Park. Got sunburnt, then rained on, then where we were sitting got turned into a mud slide. I think it took us over 2 hours to get out of the carpark. To top it all off I came down with Chicken Pox the next day!!

They are trying to get the bands to still come and play shows and for those who don't, trying to move them on the SW12 lineup.
The 'second biggest' band from the 2nd announcement are playing at 12, whoever they are.

Also Devin might be moved till next year, which will most likely be a disappointment for me

Word I've heard re: Soundwave from someone that was supposed to be working on it, is that the reason for cancellation falls firmly in the poor ticket sales basket.

Yep, ticket sales were poor & they were banking on Aerosmith to join the lineup to hopefully sell the remaining tickets. Aerosmith pulled out, so they've cancelled the whole festival.

Actually got into Falls this year, pretty rapt with the line-up too;

- Arctic Monkeys
- The Grates
- Nouvelle Vague
- J Mascis
- The Gurge (Playing Unit front to back too)
- Crystal Castles
- Metronomy

Just to name a few. Plus Young MC will be there, presumably to play "Bust A Move" then leave. Should be awesome.

Got Tickets for the Dropkick Murphy's/Lucero show in Brisbane, excited to finally see Dkm's live but just as excited about seeing Lucero, love their whole punk/alt/country steez, been a fan of theres for years and they are finally coming to oz. Very happy indeed. Anyone else going to one of the shows?

Saw My Left Boot last Friday night, good show.

Thinking of seeing Legends of Motorsport after the football on Saturday, it's been far too long and I used to love watching those guys.

Since Ag the drummer left they are lesser a band. Might try to make if with you if I can get a leave pass.
