Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
Saw them last year when they were supporting the Sunnyboys, to say the P&D's were disappointing would be a huge understatement. It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.Comment

That might be the most blasphemous post I've seen on WOOF. I almost didn't quote it but it didn't make any sense without it.They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
Bit of 90’s nostalgia, went and saw The Clouds at the Croxton last night. Ostensibly a 30th anniversary of the Penny Century album, they played all the “near misses” as they referred to them.
Really good gig slightly marred by some sound mix issues. As expected the vocals were very front in the mix but sometimes to the detriment of the instruments, with the drums and lead guitar getting lost at points. Jodi and Trish can still belt out the tunes though.
Special mention to the support Fleeting Persuasion. Enjoyable set of music with a 80’s/90’s Manchester x Shoegaze sort of vibe. Excellent drummer too, playing with his hi-hats very very hi.Park that car

Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
Went to "Good Things" festival last weekend, and am off to The Offspring on Thursday night this week.
Good Things was pretty good. I'm starting to show my age though cause some of the heavier bands were seriously, just too loud!Comment

Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
Just back from the Elton gig at AAMI Park. It was excellent, he and the band were all full of energy irrespective of the heat and put in a full show which was really impressive given their vintage.....
When growing up I heard all sorts of stories about how much of a diva he was live at times, but he didn't phone it in one bit tonight. Excellent stuff.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

I just saw Angel Olsen, which I only bring up because she referred to a song that came out in 2016 as “an old one”. Someone should let the playing group know.- I'm a visionary - Only here to confirm my biases -Comment

Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
It was seriously so good. There’s just an intimacy and a feel to her shit that no one else has. Kinda wish she would still make a full rock n roll heater from time to time though.- I'm a visionary - Only here to confirm my biases -Comment
