    Re: A League

Victory are playing a wonderfully attractive style.

I was saying to a Victory fan that I believe Finkler's injury could be someting of a blessing in disguise. Don't get me wrong, I think he is a jet and I could pick a better phrase to describe it but I think the 3 holding/possession mids + 3 attackers really is a better balance. The extra mid protects your defence which is a weakness and the attack is obviously strong.

Best left back in the country.
Should have won by more, as The Kiwi's were absolutely dreadful.
Better than being bowled out for 45 I suppose
Really good atmosphere at Victory games when they play at AAMI Park & its a fantastic stadium to watch too.

Great cultural event and some good teams to boot.
Loved watching Adelaide City under Zoran Matic back in the day.
The Greek derbies were also great atmospheric occasions.
But I understand the whole wider audience view they had to undertake.

Real grassroots it was. South Melbourne Hellas and Preston Makedonia were big rivals but more political than sport.

Hopefully this happens soon. I was disappointed when Fabio left as i thought he was showing potential and another season would see him improve. Traore has been simply amazing.

                Went along tonight.
The score line flattered a very disappointing Sydney.
Del Piero besides a few nice touches wasn't a factor, puts MV second .

Fabio was lucky not to be sent off earlier . Clear dive that should have been yellow.
I've never seen a team fouls so often then complain like Sydney did tonight.

Good match so far in the Victory-Heart derby. Archie Thompson puts the Victory 1-0 up. Watching it on Foxtel the crowd seems very much into it approx 40,000. We really love our sport in Melbourne.

                      Great game.
Turning into Melb Hearts Cup Final.Thought Victory edged it to be honest, after the first 15 minutes they were on top.

It's poor form and I don't condone it for a minute.
The only issue I have is some in the media push an anti- soccer agenda, and they whack the sport at any opportunity.
I find it amazing that Etihad stadium security can sense someone bringing in a pizza or Subway yet let people bring in flares!
Probably the only time I've ever been fearful of being assaulted was Dogs playing in Adelaide in 91.

But why break seats and bring in flares? AFL games, Basketball, tennis etc etc, don't have these sort of things happening like at the soccer.

I guess the game is so boring to watch that the crowd gets edgy and they have to sing songs or be destructive.

Which aisle on Level 1 had the damage? Did anyone who went sit close by to what happened.

Interesting , Tennis had its issues a few years back.
Cricket has had it's issues, basketball in Europe has crowd troubles.
I think some in the soccer media play the victim card to much, but some in the AFL media have a bee in their bonnet that Aussie rules is just a domestic sport.
