Seems to be a crazy number for an average to perhaps on a good day a slightly above average player.

          Agreed.

What do you think is a fair figure?

Why is he leaving the Cats?

            The crazy money!

He tried to leave last year for greater opportunity. Port said we want you. Cats said no deal.

He is in and out of the team and now a truck load of cash is being offered which always helps.

Well he gets a regular senior game and had 16 this year so it might not be a greater opportunity thing so it has to come down to more money via a longer contract. Traditionally Geelong haven't been paying big contracts and do a good job at selling the lifestyle part of any deal. At 25, he would want to get a solid longer term deal.

His approaching the prime of his life , big money, he has immediately family to support, so why not ?

I like the idea Geelong losing another key player.

I wouldn't be that quick to put my hand up for him but I'd imagine any club interested would need to do a thorough medical with him.

This is the only bit I read.

?I want to talk about three (teams) in Victoria, the clubs that I think will have a look and clubs that are looking for outside speed and dash,? Cleary said on the Tradies Podcast.

?The Bulldogs, their wings have been a concern. He?s got a relationship with Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, so that?s something for the Bulldogs to consider.

I think you'll find we won't be mentioned much at all in terms of free agent or someone seeking a trade. I don't see the Western Bulldogs as a destination club for anyone unless they're on their last legs and want their last contract.

Still, from the outside looking in it seems like a cesspool. I'm sure players talk to each other about moving clubs, hopefully we have some decent salesmen on our list that can sell them a better picture.

It's curious that people's internal sources have been more and more confident of Henry coming to the Dogs only to hear about him being linked to the Hawks (never heard that one before). I wonder if this is a case of us being lied to (us the club) to get a better offer or a change of mind by the player?
