Maybe that means complete as opposed to ready for AFL team use?

The women start using it at the end of September so I’m thinking all the players amenities are ready.
Also the players were back training on it before season end.
I tend to think it’s more the fans stand and underneath it, footy shop, toilets etc

Couldn't find an appropriate thread to post it in.

As I said in the Naughton thread, we've offered him another 5 years with a pay bump (he was already on the majority of the TBoyd money), next contract would arguably make him the highest paid player at the club.

We've also offered JUH a 4 year contract on a decent increase in coin.

Both these contracts depend on CBA announcements.

Next contract the Dogs are working on is Smith, they want to lock him away long term.

Notable absence on English. Could he be the major flight risk?

Weighing up his options, Melbourne are now sniffing around him asking the question.

Lol of course. Are they planning to pay him a mil a year to be the second ruck? Seems such a strange investment to make (multiple times) bringing in ruckmen looking to play the ruck role when you have Gawn already. Don't get me wrong I'm sure he'd be a better fit for them than Grundy but for the all the talk about how English has wanted to be THE MAN it's hilarious to read that.

Melbourne must have some weird siren song for ruckmen. First that guy from North who was stuck behind Goldstein, then Grundy, third time's the charm.

Well, Melbourne would at least be a decent trading partner in terms of picks.

Are any other clubs seriously targeting Smith?

I would say they aren’t , they will wait to see if he signs on longer or next year come hard . We have to sign him this year to stop the wolves .

His manager appears to have shut that down but you never know for sure.

At every point both me (and my contacts in the industry) have held the point that the Smith-wanting-out shit was nothing but a media circus trying to drum up a story. At no point has Smith indicated that he wanted to leave.

A few asked, but every off season managers get asked from clubs all the time if X player is available and is happy, Melbourne came asking about Naughton last season and were told to keep walking, sometimes it makes the paper, sometimes it doesn't.

What I do know is the club see's Smith in their long term plans and want to keep him longterm.
