So we are trading three first round picks for one first round pick, with the added bonus being that we’ll get extra thirds back to trade for two guys who suck.

This is a bad deal! Why are we doing any of this?

Like Bevo keeps saying the problem is depth. We have too much depth. So trade ‘em all for a kid and get guys who played 0 & 9 games this season.

My only counter - and it's not one I really believe in - is if you are moving up to get A PLAYER and it's the player you want and there can be no other...then it's worth it...back in the recruiting team.

If you're just moving up "COS" and don't really care who you get...BAD PLAN.

My only counter - and it's not one I really believe in - is if you are moving up to get A PLAYER and it's the player you want and there can be no other...then it's worth it...back in the recruiting team.

If you're just moving up "COS" and don't really care who you get...BAD PLAN.

The deal gives us pick 4 plus top 15 Croft

Having Croft available would usually mean you could leverage your early picks.

As two separate trades, would you have accepted 10 + future 1st for 4, with 17 for 3x 3rd round picks?

There's no way to look at this trade which doesn't have us giving overs.

Just don't take him, he's good but at no point has he shown that he's a consensus top 10 pick. After pick 11 we can cover Croft with our 2nd and 3rd round picks

The draft is hit and miss after Top 10. There is a player they need and want. 10 or 17 would have been taken by Croft and we still get Croft and hopefully a better player to suit our needs. Need to trust Power. They also know we will still be in the first round of the draft next year with Smith or English with one likely to leave.
