Re: Father/Son Watch
Is Croft up next year?
Power holding out for an extra future fourth off Dunkley and securing a future fourth for Schache. Ordinarily not worth too much. But handy ‘bonus’ draft points next year it seems.Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment

He's a 2005 born player so I think it means he's up next season. Last reports have him at 199cm tall. Always loved his father as a player. Gave his all.Comment

Re: Father/Son Watch
Those same draft watchers had Sam Darcy a 4th round prospect at the start of his u18 year, while my scout contact fell in love with him instantly.
We also have an NGA kid on the radar (Lual) and he's predicted to be very draft relevant, might not make it past pick 40 though (so we lose access to him)Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

Re: Father/Son Watch
The changes to the NGA rules don't make sense. Why would you put time/money into a guy that another team can recruit, especially where your development has put them into a top 40 category? I get club's feel aggrieved about the JUH situation, but we gave up plenty to get him.Comment

AFL: We are going to provide clubs with an incentive to develop players from underrepresented backgrounds by giving them exclusive access.
Clubs: Sweet, so that means players that would otherwise be lost to the game or be marginal prospects will be good prospects who we get to keep yes?
AFL: Yes.
Clubs: So we should invest our time and money into making them as good as possible.
AFL: Yes, thats the point
Clubs: And we will retain exclusive access no matter how good they are
AFL: Yes
