    Re: Father/Son Watch

Liam Pickering slandering Sam Power at the trade deadline for dragging out the Dunkley trade to get into a second rounder (for two thirds) and get an extra fourth rounder off the Lions. Plus a fourth for Schache.

Very handy work by Power to bank the extra points for this year, and piss Pickering off as a bonus. Or is it the other way around?

That was ridiculous from Pickering, although I assume he was more annoyed at having to work past 6pm on his one office day of the year.

Being a player manager is just a side hustle for Pickers. With the very prospect of the trade falling through Pickers was off doing a country race meeting job. I don't understand why anyone would trust him to handle their AFL career now.

NGA/Father Son game is on right now, Jaxon Cooney looks the pick of the bunch. I think he's 14 or 15 so still plenty of time left before he's available.

So we need to scrub the site of our more recent opinions on his dad?

Might take me a while to remove all mine.

              Ha ha ha.

Nah we can hate what he became and still love what he did for us before that.

There are a couple of player managers who do it as a side-hustle to their regular gigs. Often guys managing kids years after they managed their dads' AFL careers.

I hear the new Whitten Oval development includes an area where the floors are exceptionally spongey

I've seen bits of Adam on I'm A Celebrity airing at the moment and he comes across as a decent guy.

My daughter tells me he said he would be excited...or words to that effect....if his son was picked by the dogs.

If the boy is any good he better like him going to the dogs as that’s what will happen.

He can just not nominate as a father son. It would be very easy to not end up at the dogs if they were determined

You’d think the club would already have him training in school holiday type sessions. From memory Marra was ‘at the club’ at about the same age. I’d think these things are done years out (nominating) and wooing the kids/relationshipship building. Whether they make the grade or not. If he’s been invited down to the club and accepted the invite, you’d think there’s no issue - other than him making the grade.
