Thanks for the heads up. That is good news.

Read in todays paper that due to high demand in Adelaide & Perth he has to do more shows, so has moved it to February to accommodate. Hope you got cheap flights!!
Am absolutely peeved off about this Suz....demeand in perth and adelaide is a smokescreen for poor ticket sales, but what would u expect only giving 3 weeks to sell tickets. An absolute farce, and both Ace and Red Ant should be held responsible. I got flights for $135 return but it cost me $60 to postspone them, so i'm left with a credit of $75....not happy, also considering i had to take 2 days off work without pay and cant get those shifts back
I will never see #16 the same!!

Yes, I'd be very peeved too Dog God. Another friend of mine is not happy - he was looking forward to the gig tonight. But he's in Melbourne, so no money issues there. Do you think it could also be code for "Ace is on the grog again"?

With Ace who would know...he has cancelled his Japn tour as well. I think the promoter found out ace was going to Japan and tried to squeeze a tour in expecting all the KISS fans to jump onboard and sell out the venues. Having little to no promotion wouldnt have helped, but i think the whole thing was just too rushed. I know Ace has burnt alot of people with this cancellation...if he wasnt playing he couldve at least came to Oz to do a promo tour for his new cd.

Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones

Time to get this thread back on track and away from the psuedo alternative bands and the Kiss rubbish.

I recently bought the Black Eyed Susans 20 year box set and saw them last weekend. Highly recommend. Playing again in December.
I know Legends of Motor Sports played last night but will be looking forward to gig near Christmas
The Underground lovers are reforming for Homebake(Sydney) and a show in <elbourne, for anyone that likes Shoegaze, there early stuff in that genre was excellent. The Leaves me blind album is a favourite.

Hopefully Mofra hasn't sold my Meredith ticket.

Not sure whether to go to Queenscliff Festival for the day just to see Ed Kuepper.

Wouldn't mind seeing Al Green but the prices are pretty steep.

Finally the Golden Plains 2010 1st lineup has been announced and its a ripper.
PAVEMENT, DINOSAUR JR, DIRTY PROJECTORS, THE BIG PINK, MIDNIGHT JUGGERNAUTS, TAME IMPALA, SUPER WILD HORSES, OPTIMO, CALEXICO, MONOTONIX, GASLAMP KILLER, NASHVILLE PUSSY, JEFFREY LEWIS & THE JUNKYARD, THE CRUEL SEA, CRAYON FIELDS, RANSOM, ANDEE FROST, ROYAL HEADACHE, WOODEN SHJIPS
I've in the ballot but someone else has bought me a ticket so if you what tickets contact me.

Very disappointing for alot of fans i'd imagine, and off course your good self Darren, is it just me, or did there seem to be more hype about the new Ace record compared to KISS's Sonic Boom?, until you let me know about that release via a pm a while back, i heard nothing about a new KISS record, which in that case, would make it that more disappointing as far as Ace's Tour being cancelled, and i had actually heard from a few news sources about Ace's up & coming release.

BTW, i finally bought the proper Sonic Boom release, i wanted to wait for the deluxe version, 2 cd & dvd set, for under $25, that was a bargain!

Sorry mate but I only just got the message you left on friday night-the answer would have been the same anyway, sorry but I've got the kids. Did you go to The Models? Were they any good?

                    Dumb question really.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

It was crap. Venue terrible. More a 'super group' of the 3 Models guys, Jack Howard, Billy Miller, and a drummer and they played covers. Waste of $20.

You're ticket is safe - still haven't received them but no need to panic yet.

There IS a need to panic though about Golden Plains - I missed the first ballot and will be sweating on the second one. I'm really happy with the line up so far.

I'm also very happy to see Wagons & The Fauves added to the Meredith bill, should make a good weekend even better. Bought a new super-tent yesterday in anticipation.

I assume you're not talking about The Models from the 80s with Sean Kelly, James Freud etc......

A very underrated band from the early 80's imo.
