Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
I went and saw The Pixies last night. They were very good.
First time I'd been to Festival Hall for ages and it wasn't all that terrible. Sound was actually ok for the most part. Band rocked it, some cool visuals projected onto the back wall. Too many Doolittle era B sides where proper great songs could have been, but otherwise excellent.Park that car

Looking forward to seeing Henry Rollins perform his spoken word at the comedy festivle in a week or so.
Should be interesting and entertaining, it is about his adventures and experiences around the world.More of an In Bruges guy?Comment

Anyone get down to Apollo Bay last weekend?
Some pretty good bands. The Megahorns were probably the highlight for mine but I didn't get around to seeing a whole lot of them, as I had to work on one of the stages.W00F!Comment

Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
I really enjoyed the show. He said he was nervous and like all comedians he fed off what the audience said and did.
He is very visual as you would already be aware of.
The hour went very quickly and I would have liked more.
Will be interested in hearing what you think after your show.
EnjoyI bleed Red,White & Blue Comment

Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
Saw Frank Woodley last night and he was pretty good. Not quite as good as he was with Colin, but he filled the hour easily and had plenty of material. Particularly liked the golf skit. Very enjoyable.
Upon leaving as we passed through the foyer we had an usher approach us and ask if we would like to see Josh Kimanda (or something like that) upstairs in the carpet room for free to make up numbers. We didn't realise it would be the size of a large broom closet. Members of our group had to sit on the side of the stage.
Very awkward performance, his interaction with the small audience was alright and very Ross Nobleish, but his stories and jokes were very poor. There's nothing quite as awkward as that 30 people sitting in complete silence despite what was clearly the punchline just being announced.I should leave it alone but you're not rightComment
