Already 3000 people attending, according to the facebook page. I hope that it is a peaceful and productive protest, if it gets out of hand then it might not be so helpful, considering the reasons that Bruce Milne detailed in the press release.

For anyone on the north side looking to support existing live music venues and is free tonight, there are some great bands playing tonight at the East Brunswick Club - Our Anatomy, Francis Plagne, Royal Chord and A Dead Forest Index. Starts at 8pm, $10 on the door.

Quite amazing the amount of 80's hard rock bands coming to Oz over the last 2 years. Strypers 1st visit since '88 when they had a "go" with Fred Nile

Grohl was sounding enthused about TCV playing live, saying it's some of the loudest stuff he's played.

You basically had to know people to get tickets. Only people I knew who went were musos who were well connected

It would have been nice to have been there. I know a bunch of people who scared tickets online but apparently the site crashed so it was pretty much a lottery.

I felt spoilt just listening to it on the radio! If rumours are true then someone might be buying the licence soon...maybe chopper read will be in charge soon!

Not a musical gig, but I went and saw Daniel Kitson at the Arts Centre the other night. I'd never seen him before and only knew him a bit through his stand up. Anyway one man monolgues are officially the future of entertainment. He's awesome. I think I may love him.

Twas good - farrken hot in Festival Hall though.

As good as the tunes were, my lasting memory was Josh introducing the band...'and that's John Paul __cking Jones' (cue massive roar)

Shattered I didn't know TCV were coming out..I knew late friday night and had plans last night..heard they were amazing and I hope they do come out here again.
