I've got Mastodon tonight - I've read they were pretty disappointing at the BDO, so we'll see how the bogans receive them this evening

What dickheads. (Believe me, I toned that down a lot) I heard that two horses have career threatening injuries. Where the hell was the security?

I was at Big Day Out..it was more of an Epic Day Out

Saw the bands I wanted to including Temper Trap (awesome) Muse (even more awesome) Powderfinger (not my idea not a big fan) Lily (obsessed and loved) Dizzee Rascal (didnt like..just 'dont get him' i guess) and a bit of Mars Volta..long day but worth the hunt I went through to get the cost price ticket 2 weeks ago..

Muse & Jet's lead vocals? did the Australian themed song for the day with a rendition of Back In Black..

This has been the only gig I've been to where I've woken up the morning after still with ringing ears....I've still got a dull ring lingering even now.

I went to Acca Dacca tonight, awesome show but must say at my age i have ringing in the ears after it.
Teach me to go as close as possible.
My son tells me to let everyone know he is playing in Brunswick on the 21st of Feb at Briedy O Riellys 4 pm, his first paid gig, Ac Dc might have made a bit of a mess of my ears but his death metal is too much for me to handle, but if your a metal head and like that stuff go have a look, bands name is Ill Omen, he plays bass.

AC/DC - simply one of the best spectacles (not just music) I have ever seen.

Absolutely performed well beyond every expectation, despite the complete balls-up that is Etihad stadium's organisational skills.

I completely agree, didnt know we had to get a wrist band so after fighting with the crowd to get in for 30 minutes were told we had to go out again to get a wrist band.

Also had a hell of a time getting off the oval, had a look back on way out and with all the stupid separation barriers they put up, god help us if there was a fire, absolute farce in that department.

Well we entered via gate 5, went down aisle 26 to the front, were told to go to aisle 36, then they said to got to gate 7, then they told us to go to gate 5 (!), at gate 5 we had to leave the stadium again for a wristband.

On another note, I'm surprised they were allowed to have a fireworks show after the gig inside the stadium - especially with a 50 foot inflatable Rosie not far away

Yeah it was very good. The crispness of the images on the big screens was brilliant.

Angus is a marvel to carry on like he does at his age, his solo was awesome... No wonder he sucks in the O2 during the 'black-outs'.

If only there was a Moccasin van along side the merchandise stands, would have made a killing last night.

We were on level 2, row C so a good spot, although it seemed very far away from the stage. The screens were great - as said in a previous post very crisp quality. Was rapt that they played Let There Be Rock, Thunderstruck was also a highlight for me. The red flashing devil horns looked spectacular in the crowd too. Can't believe Angus' energy - amazing. The sound also seemed much better than when we went to Kiss Symphony a few years ago.

PS: Wore ear plugs - very un Australian I know but I'm enjoying being able to hear today!!
