I actually agree with yourself and Happy in that I don't think we should pay him what he's going to get elsewhere, but he's a gun. Bailey Williams is a solid comparison (i think he's a gun too). I see him as a defend first type HB, which is why he may not be as flashy or influential as other half backs but he still stacks up comparatively with intercept marks, metres gained and tackles with Ed when he was a full time HB at the same age.

If he nominates us, we take him. He's be an instant upgrade on Bramble and Cleary but yeah I think for the price that he'll likely fetch we're better off offering that to Butters (if that's even an option).

Yeh I see him as a better version of Cleary. More defensive players who can be trusted to win or nullify a 1v1 can only be a good thing.

Agree that the cost (trade and salary) could be prohibitive, but he would absolutely be a best 22 upgrade for us.
