Dogs emerge as frontrunner for pick 4

It comes as the Dogs emerge as an early favourite to trade up to the Suns? pick 4 with their offer of picks 10 and 17.

Melbourne also has a strong proposal with their first-rounder and two second-rounders, with both offers handing the Suns an extra 500 points for their academy picks.

But the Suns could trade back to 10 and 17 from pick 4 then field offers for pick 10, so could make even more of a windfall on the deal to accrue points.

Pick 4, plus Croft would be perfect.

Another player somewhere in the draft would be nice too. Maybe trading a future pick in or using the Brisbane 4th we asked for that probably won't be worth any points

Would be over the moon if we can make this happen.

Would also like to get back into the 2nd round somehow.

Giddy up. A top 5 pick and a KPF on the fringe of top 10.

Hi BT and other woofers - Who do you reckon we’d take and who would you take (from who is realistically still available) at 4?
              Josie :)

              Our day will come

Duursma, McKercher and Watson would be around the mark we'd be looking at.

I think I'd rather a mid. Is Watson forward only?

He is better known as a forward but he can play as a mid.

McKercher looks like a Zak Butters gem to me, but I wonder if the Tassie side has to be a consideration

-Club has asked the question around Xavier Duursma
-Club has asked the question around Jacob Koschitzke (as a backman)
-Club has it's eyes on some Collingwood ''fringe'' players, Ginni, Finlay, Ruscoe are a few names I've been told
-Pick 4 from GCS's is a real possibility, my industry contact reckons it's all but a done deal.

As for the ''not picking players because of Tasmania'' talk - we'll take anyone from anywhere and back in club culture to keep them, this comes from someone directly in our recruitment department.

Thanks. All positive points here. Let's hope we can get a lot of it done.

Koschitzke is an interesting one. Looked to be a great forward but has now almost vanished. I'd prefer trying him over keeping TOB though.

Be careful of Hawthorn fringe players!

they don't get a game for various reasons . I hope we do due diligence. His still only 23 years old, so there must be more upside.

Who is he behind atm at the Hawks?
