He he, they are getting older but luckily we saw them Thursday night for an awesome 90 minute set at the Hi-Fi Bar. Joey joked that they'd done "2 shows in 12 hours".

A mate of mine who went told me Lars has become a bit of liability......not fit enough any more. He's an over-critical bugger though, how'd you rate his performance?

I didn't really notice Lars' performance, but not being musical myself I don't pick up on how good or bad a person is playing. Here's the setlist from Friday:

Just got back to Tassie from the KISS/motley Crüe/thin lizzy show...great spectacle and motley was probably the most entertaining on the night. kISS had a few technical difficulties with their show that should've been ironed out 3rd show into the tour, but overall it was a great night and a brilliant spectacle.

Just got back to Tassie from the KISS/motley Crüe/thin lizzy show...great spectacle and motley was probably the most entertaining on the night. kISS had a few technical difficulties with their show that should've been ironed out 3rd show into the tour, but overall it was a great night and a brilliant spectacle.

Was there last night at Etihad a thought a similar thing. Enjoyed he spectacle and thought all the bands were quite good.

Still some technical difficulty during the KISS set but vey entertaining nevertheless. Did like the smaller set up at Etihad and thought the sound was quite good.

I also attended Motley Crue/KISS on Tuesday night. Loved Motley Crues show & setlist, had not seen them before. Tommy Lees drum coaster was amazing, a great spectacle. KISS were ok, when you've seen them 4 times before there weren't too many surprises. Had standing room & the sound was great!

Motley Crüe had to cut short their set in Sydney last night due to vince Neil being rushed to hospital. He's having an operation this morning for kidney stones..poor guy.

They have a show in Brisbane Tuesday night and mackay Thursday night...fingers crossed for those fans that motley don't have to cancel...they put on a fantastic show in Melbourne night 1.

Ouch! Kidney stones are natures way of letting you know that you are getting old.


A mate went to see Bob Mould at the corner on Wednesday night. Said he did quite a few old Husker Du songs. I wish I'd gone now.

Vince Neil had the kidney stones op on Sunday night and flew to Brisbane tues morning to perform there tues night..pretty good effort that. Reports were that they were very good too.

I think I've just been given the nod to attend The Boss concert this coming Wednesday at Rod Laver, in one of the boxes.
