    Re: Early Trade Rumours 2023

    Sounds like Oliver is going to stay at the dees. Interesting timeline though. If Oliver slips up again how will Dees handle it?

    Taylor Adams possibly heading to Sydney.

      Assuming Grundy is gone, its a good spot for him as a back forward who gives a chop out to Gawn.

        Was this all a 'get your head in' type move? Do they want to be Collingwood+DeGoey rather than Dogs+Stringer?

          Gresham is selfish and would be expecting to be paid and Dow can't run... hard pass from me.

            I absolutely think it was a move designed to give him a massive wake up call. Perhaps if his reaction was screw you they would have headed down the trade path, but by all reports he has said and done the right things since and committed to pulling his head in.

            Certainly he is now on notice and will know the club will not tolerate any more unacceptable behaviour, 7 year contract or not.

              I think they floated him, nobody wanted him on that contract, they pretend they're all good again.

                  James Jordan joins Sydney and Melbourne receive an end of round 2 selection - currently pick 39 - that feels overly generous?

                    Not a trade so much but the age reporting Khamis is staying put. Very surprising as it sounds like he's been unhappy with the lack of opportunity (though maybe that's a bit of someone else's bias for him twisting things a bit)

                      Being reported in the Age that Buku is staying.

                      Buku Khamis will remain
                      @westernbulldogs
                      and won't look for a trade. Good result for club and player.

                        Yeah that's very generous.

                          Feels like a career suicide from Khamis. Hope it works out for him.

                            I’d like Buku to stay because I like him. But it’s not a great career move you’re dead right.

                              It's band 4, the second lowest compensation available, only 3rd round is below this. He's young and I guess the Swans gave him a reasonable contract and this is obviously what the AFL's secret formula spat out.

                                What type of contract would we be offering Buku?
