Re: Coronavirus Info & Helpful Direction
This is a very miserable development. Already talk of lockdown this weekend. I think in Vic we’ve all been stretched far, far beyond our limits.www.bulldogtragician.com A blog about being a lifelong fan of the Dogs and our quixotic attempt to replicate 1954. AND WE DID

Re: Coronavirus Info & Helpful Direction
Surely they don't have need to lock down.
The cases are linked to known. The family in Hume did the wrong thing and went to Coles in Craigieburn, but there is only 1 reported case from that.
The Maribyrnong apartments are in their own lockdown.
Unless there is some sort of spike in numbers over the next few days, there is no justification.Life is to be Enjoyed not EnduredComment

And WA has just announced a hard border closer while the Cats are literally in the plane over. Wonder what happens to that game, especially considering they played at the MCG which is now an exposure site. Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.Comment

Re: Coronavirus Info & Helpful Direction
Considering the whole "NSW should have learnt from Victoria and locked down early" and "better to lock down too early than too late" narratives i don't think VIC can afford to not lockdown. Can you imagine the headlines: "Victoria failed to learn from what happened to NSW when they didn't learn from what happened in Victoria".
I think once you've established that locking down early is your go to strategy you kind of end up always coming back to it lest you make all the other times you did it seem unnecessary.I should leave it alone but you're not rightComment

Re: Coronavirus Info & Helpful Direction
Geelong players would have no exposure to a person on level 2.
Anyone else has no risk outside the exposure sites.
How is anyone from say Ballarat been exposed to a case at Craigieburn without visiting the location at the identified time.
I am so over this.

BTW Soupman, how are you doing in the lockdown? Hope everything is ok at your end and you are able to still work from home etc.

This has definitely gone insane. Although the WA Government have probably been there a long time.

One in three people in the state’s hospitals with COVID-19 is in intensive care, as Sydney’s health system becomes the first in the country to confront the latest wave of highly transmissible Delta-variant cases.
“We are seeing a more diverse group of patients this time, with a disproportionate number of younger patients in ICU,” said Dr Paul Preisz, medical director of the emergency department at St Vincent’s Hospital in Darlinghurst. “It just seems like nobody is safe.
“Last year we saw older patients with high blood pressure and other existing conditions but this time they are younger, with no medical problems. We are seeing a broader range of ages.”www.bulldogtragician.com A blog about being a lifelong fan of the Dogs and our quixotic attempt to replicate 1954. AND WE DID

Hopefully we don't get to that. The testing and contact tracing will determine what Vic does. Let's see if this bugger has spread.

What I have noticed is that when I log on at work each morning I'm getting a lot more emails sent to me 9 to 11pm most nights
I guess people are throwing themselves more into work during these challenging periods of being at home.
It's sad to hear so many people are struggling with their lifestyle being impacted and the sooner a high portion of us have had the two vaccinations the better.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment
