Meshuggah were awesome at Brisbane soundwave, didn't catch Devy but have seen live before back in the Syl days, dude is a beast live.

Devin was incredible, couldn't have been more impressed with him. Even if you don't count the music, i've never seen anyone as into it or as nice as he was. Just a genuinely great, but very strange guy.
Can't wait to see him again on Friday

Counting down the days till next Friday, will be awesome to see Krs-one live, didn't think he would ever make it down under du to his fear of flying. Good supports with Def wish Cast, Kryptamistik and Dj Katch also on the bill. Will be an epic night.

Got tickets to both Melbourne concerts. They're both right at the back, but I don't care, am absolutely wrapt that I am actually going to see Radiohead. Cannot wait. It's so far away though.

System of a Down on Wednesday night were AWESOME!! Sounded great, crowd was enthusiastic, had an absolute ball. My knees & neck are paying for it though. Really good setlist, my only disappointment was that they didn't play Cigaro. Now wishing I hadn't sold my Soundwave ticket, would love to see them again tonight. What did you think G-Mo 77?

Having to wait until November is hell, but it's going to be worth the wait.


Have two teenage daughters in tears ATM as they missed out on 1Direction tickets. Can't believe there not playing at a bigger venue or more shows as they could have filled Hisense arena at least four times over.

Yeah I loved it. I was in front standing but stayed well away from all the squash in the front. Still got a good view of the whole thing. It was a little shorter than what I am used to but I tell you what they belted out about 20 - 25 songs pretty much back 2 back which I found impressive. Prison Song opening was awesome which followed by BYOB, I knew I was in for an eventful night. The way the crowd responded to Toxicity was incredible as Serj said everyone sang the whole dam thing. Sultans of Swing was really cool. Closing off with Sugar left me just itching for more. It was a great mix of all their tracks and it was non stop!

I've made a couple of videos of a few tracks and will post them on Youtube when I get a chance. Unfortunately the audio is pretty bad.

Soundwave today was great.
Don't know if i mentioned how i was waterboying eariler but it was a hell of an experience. Basically was the guy who hands out water at the front of the stage. However, during Mastodon it was so much fun. Was within 40 cms of Brent during his solo and got a little nod from him. It was just great.

Didn't see System, was too busy with Devin once again, but Devy, Gojira, Mastodon and Meshuggah were all amazing. Lost prophets not so much

Golden Plains Festival this weekend - been so busy the past few weeks since I returned from Africa I haven't seen much music (full time work, part time work, Masters, sailing, football etc).

Very low key build up but really looking forward to it now - almost embarrassed to admit I really want to see Chic

Very, very jealous of this; couldn't get the cash together for the festival itself or any of the relevant sideshows ($55 for a last minute Black Lips show at the Tote, bastards!)

To be honest originally I wasn't overwhelmed by the line-up and was going more out of habit but there are some decent acts on the bill I'm very keen to see (Celebate Rifles, Urge Overkill, Roky Ericson, Bonnie Prince Billy)
