Seriously, *!*!*!*! Lipinski if he forces a weak trade on us. We've put a contract on the table for him and actually shown him a lot of good will in the amount of games he's been given and the five years of development we've put into him. It's not even the trade period and I'm already sick of players nominating clubs and outcomes and hamstringing clubs.
North will try and walk Coleman-Jones to the pre season draft.

An aside, if the AFEL finally killed the PSD. None of this would be happening. Trade or take your chances in the draft.

Yeah, PSD is stupid, especially now there is a mid season draft. Clubs who finish down the bottom already get access to the best young talent, don't need more incentives to tank.

I think there is a suggestion that North have already someone else (CCJ) in mind for the PSD if they can't get a favorable trade outcome.
It's a shame that Lippa doesn't think he is good enough to force his way back into our best 22.

He’s not though is he? Will be interesting to see if Collingwood use him in a more outside role so he can use his aerobic capacity, but he’s a poor tackler with no acceleration.

Nice dude too, wish him all the best.

Yeah I like Lipinski and rate him but he doesn't fix our weaknesses and if anything makes them worse.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

I think that with the likes of Richards (harder; more skilful, faster) and Garcia (harder), West (Bigger upside IMO) then Lippa is a fair way back even if injury strikes. While he’s on our list he’ll have great VFL matches and we’ll be forced to pick him based on that, and then he’ll be average at AFL level and the circle continues. So I think it’s best for both if we part ways. I hope he is a success elsewhere.

Our best 22 needs to be too hard for people like him (and Wallis for that matter) to get near.

Even based on the GF squad you’d say, if no injuries, McLean, Bruce, JUH should be best 22 and Id say Richards too if there was VFL form to go off… and VDM… and that’s without Darcy or development in West et al.

I wouldnt be at all surprised to see Lipinski address some of his issues and improve markedly - hes got very nice skills, good by foot, good hands etc, and is a good decision maker with the ball in hand

He's a good pickup for someone - should be determined to prove himself.

I would have said his disposal (particularly by foot) was pretty average. I also think he struggles with quick decisions; often getting caught when he had to think on his feet. His aerobic capacity is incredible and will be a great pick up for some team (Collingwood) but he would be a fair way behind our starting 22 if he didn’t work on his deficits.

Our fourth rounder is now pushed out to Pick 75 which has no draft points attached. So heading into the trade week on Monday, we only have one draft pick with draft points currently.

BT a bit of talk bulldogs and tigers looking to trade picks. Especially since they got pick 38 for Choll.

Looks like a lot of work to do to get the picks required for Darcy, and ofcourse any needed pics to get a ruckman.
I will never see #16 the same!!

Just a statement of fact that we will need get very active. Draft points trades, multiple players likely out too and bringing in a fringe ruck. Juggling strategies of deficit reduction or accepting a deficit and moving on the future first. Sam Power and his team will be flat out.

BT, are there any FA's that might be of interest for us?

It should get pushed back up if/when the Pies match the Daicos bid with multiple picks
