Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
Well I've got a few coming up.
Going to see Birds of Tokyo on October 1st, but am actually going to see the support act "Silversun Pickups", who don't have a bad song to date.
Then October 15th will be the Smashing Pumpkins.
Then December 1st is U2.
Then December 14th and 15th Muse.
All should be really good, and better be considering the cost.Comment

General admission. I'm fit enough to push my way to a decent spot, it's cheaper and last time I had seats. My parents have spent the extra 75 dollars for seats that sound to me the equivalent of an average spot in GA.I should leave it alone but you're not rightComment

Metallica were awesome last night!! Best concert I've been to in quite awhile. Fantastic stage set up 'in the round' so everyone could see. Great setlist (varied quite a lot from Wednesday nights) Even got high fives from some of the band.Comment

Sounds like a fun gig... mate from work was there Wednesday, saw some footage on his iPhone...Our club was born in blood and boots, not in AFL focus groups.Comment

Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
Went to the Birds of Tokyo concert tonight/last night to see the Silversun Pickups.
They were amazing. Sound better live, such a distinctive style and voice and good to watch. Only played 8 songs as the support act but really had the crowd going. The mosh for "Panic Switch" was the equal of any of the Birds of Tokyo's songs, and even "Lazy Eye" got a bit of jumping action. Very impressed and pissed off that I missed their concert at the Corner Hotel on Tuesday (sold out in minutes, I reckon they could play the Palace comfortably).
As for Birds of Tokyo, they were good but not great. I don't really know many of their songs but they are a touch slow for a mosh and don't really have enough going on for someone like me who can't sing along. Even their better songs weren't as good as I was anticipating.I should leave it alone but you're not rightComment

Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
Got Sarah Blasko on Friday. I haven't seen her live before but my sister (who I'm going with) has, and reckons she was amazing.
Then Muse in December, can't wait! I decided this year to see more live gigs, so I've been to Laura Marling, Florence + the Machine and Powderfinger (+ the two to come). Missed out Metallica tickets though, and then missed COG due to a relative's birthday, spewing!Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell
Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath
And we all found heaven - 2016 Premiers!Comment

Saw them in September & it was so good we wanted to go again. Standing room on the floor for Sunday 21st November. Roughly $190 per ticket. A little more expensive than usual, but much cheaper than some other sites ($400 per ticket) or ebay which is full of scalpers.
