Re: Recent Gigs & Upcoming ones
Graveyard Train at The Forum
Without a lie, possibly the best gig by an Australian Band I've seen. Found it hard to back up after spending 3 days at a Fesival on next to no sleep, but rocked up for the support act (Brothers Grimm) who were ok, then Graveyard Train came out, revealed a cornfield backdrop with a "monster" scarecrow, and played their respective arses off.
With a nod to newer material, they borrowed a drummer (from the Brothers Grimm) for much of the set, at times numbering 8 on stage. The 6 part chanting on many songs sounded a treat at the Forum, with a high number of costumes in the crowd and the whole-crowd sing-a-longs adding to a massive atmosphere.
Add an enourmous afterparty and weird shenanegans involving hill people, the 1 girl I hadn't previously met at the festival, random sightings and an Italian Physicist named Mattel and it was one heck of an event.
