Spoon were sensational last night. Unfortunately I knew the result of our match about 3 songs in and wasn't able to fully enjoy the rest of the gig. I guess leaving the game at half time and not being there for the final qtr was a small mercy.

They played a good sprinkling of songs from all of Transference, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, Gimme Fiction, Kill the Moonlight and Girls Can Tell. Finished it off with a rousing rendition of 'Written in Reverse'. All in all it was a cracking gig.

I on the other hand knew nothing after half time until this morning and was able to enjoy the gig.

Solid show, really heated up about 3 songs in and kicked it from there. Fairly good spread of songs as you said, although no "The Way We Get By" was personally disappointing.
The bottom end was so loud I think it rearranged my bowel. At one point I could feel my face vibrating with the kick drum.

Would love to hear some comments if anyone gets along to Wilco on Wednesday night. Am flying over for the Thursday night gig and staying for the Meblourne game.

Fingers crossed. I have held Wilco tickets four times in three different countries and they have cancelled all of them. My ultimate white whale.

I have relented for Groove in the Moo in Bendigo this weekend.

I went last year, was very very very good. Tried to get tickets again this year but they sold out much earlier than they did last time.

Anyone head up this year? From all reports was fantastc.

First Australian tour in 36 years for Yusuf (formerly Cat Stevens) in June... tix on sale Thursday... looking forward to getting myself a spot....

Oh yeah! I think I am going to have to relent and get the platinum tix too. Nothing worse than being at the back of the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Metallica are playing Rod Laver Arena 18th November, tickets on sale 13th May, or 11th May for presale. Looks like they're playing 'in the round'. Should be good.

rumor is after their fanclub pre-sale today, GA is close to exhausted.
They will announce more shows, but the first one is the only 1 i will be in the state for

Yep, make sure you're a 'my ticketek' member (if not, it's easy to just join up). I always use the presale. If GA is exhausted I think I'll wait for the next show to be announced. (Depending on ticket prices - still waiting to see how much more GA tickets are seeing as it's 'in the round') Good luck!!

Should be a fantastic show. I've seen them the last two times they've come to Australia, and they were amazing.
Decided not to go this year only because we went to see Henry Rollins instead.
Let us know how you enjoy the show.

Am looking to go see Muph and Plutonic at the Hi-Fi Bar on the 11th.

Emjoy Muphin more by himself but together they can be heaps good . Should be a good one, and not bad value for $18.

Yep, make sure you're a 'my ticketek' member (if not, it's easy to just join up). I always use the presale. If GA is exhausted I think I'll wait for the next show to be announced. found out today, there is another presale starting friday.
might to sign up, but you need a VISA card. Just a heads up because not many GA tickets are expected to make it to normal sales. Would love to wait for a second show, but i'll be on Schoolies

I have a feeling you'll be paying more for the Visa Preferred tickets, but if you can only make it to the first concert - go for it!! Good luck with GA tickets too.
